Need for the study
Education is the most potent instrument to cope with the greatest
challenge of the country. Dewey points out that "Education is the development
of all those capabilities in the individual which will enable him to control his
environment and fulfill his responsibilities". Education is concerned with an
all-round development of the personality. Psychologically speaking,
personality is all that a person is. It is the totality of one's behaviour towards
oneself and others as well.
